The staff of Oceanum consist Master Mariners with extensive seagoing experience as a ship's masters and chief mates on various types of ships. Our technical surveyor is educated as a Mechanical Engineer with a long experience from workshops, vessels and shipyards.
We may also act on behalf of insurance companies in relation to claims. Our activities will include some of the following: Draught Surveys are conducted upon arrival and prior to departure for vessels, which are loading or discharging solid bulk cargoes. By Draught Survey the customers will get the exact quantity of cargo carried.
Survey of Ship is made to establish their general condition, suitable for a particular cargo and the safe transport of cargo.
Water tightness test of cargo compartments and hatch cover surveys are one of the most important surveys on board dry cargo vessels, these surveys are carried out primarily to ensure that the cargo is adequately protected against sea-water ingress. We have the latest Ultra-sonic technology equipments and certified operatotors for these surveys.
On-Off Hire Surveys of ships and containers are made to establish their condition and suitability for the proposed cargo. The charterer will require an independent measurement of bunkers, lubricating oils, etc. on board, and any damage existing at the time of going on- or off-hire.
Stowage planning, Pre-Load Survey and Supervising of loading and discharging operation as well as Securing and Lashing Survey are one of our very special areas.
Unusual or Expensive or Project Cargoes may require supervision, for which the Service of an On-Site surveyor is available.
